Developed and manufactured in USA these Yellowjacket receivers are specifically designed for use with R/C aircraft and UAVs. They feature advanced diversity circuitry which will automatically select the best signal from two connected antennas (standard SMA connectors). Switching is done between frames to eliminate flicker
The Yellowjacket PRO differs from the standard version in that it has 2 output connectors (one for a monitor, and one to record). It also features a mic input with full auto level control, so that commentary can be added to audio channel(s). Don't overlook this feature, it is extremely useful in many applications.
The Yellowjacket PRO features digitally controlled tuning to twelve of the most commonly used frequencies in the 2.4GHz spectrum.
These tuners cannot be compared to other cheap tuners on the market, commonly available on eBay and the like. Those cheap tuners are designed for sending video a short distance around your house. Receiving video from an aircraft, moving around in the sky requires a different approach altogether. We do not sell those cheaper tuners, quite simply because they do not perform to our expectations, and in less than ideal conditions they cannot be relied upon. Whether you are sending video a few hundred feet or even several miles, the Yellowjacket is a top performer.
