GPS Logger for RC Aircraft
|
These 'USB Dongle' GPS units are amazing. Weighing only 18g, they log GPS data once every second (configurable). No batteries are required as they connect to an R/C receiver and draw power from there. The included software lets you view the logged data in Google Earth and configure the GPS
For Aerial Photography use, synchronize the time on your camera with the time on the GPS before flight. After the flight, the included software will "Geotag" your selected images with the logged GPS position of the aircraft at the time the photo was taken.
Connect to power and the green LED on the GPS will blink when logging has started.
To view the log, you connect to the USB port of a PC and use the included software. It's a fully fledged GPS, just like any other, but in a tiny package.
The unit should be positioned on your aircraft so it gets a clear view of the sky above. Included software lets you view reception quality.
Logging memory can hold 265,000 data records.
Included software allows configuration of logging frequency 1-10 seconds.
